A snowmobile track is exactly the same, the less picks, the more pressure per pick is applied. Used to be the rule is 1 pick per 1hp of the sled, thats a good rule of thumb.
so just asking, do you have a 192hp srx?
the more picks you add the heavier the rotating mass is also, swing a cement block on a rope around your head a few times, then break the block in half and redo the test, let me know which one was easier to spin around. A snowmobile track is the same way!
