98 SRX middle cylinder problem

So today I used muriatic acid on the aluminum in the cylinder. Came off pretty good. Then I lightly honed it and cleaned it out. Walls seem smooth as silk with nothing that catches my fingernail. Still has some wear marks, but feels great.
I'm going to take the cylinder to a shop and have them look it over to see if they think it will be Ok.
 
Went over everything, 3 new pistons, new fuel filter, upped my mains to 155 (after research for the cold air with gutted box), richened the needles, replaced reeds, and 1 cracked air box boot. I have not ridden it more than 12 miles since the rebuild. Here are the plugs from after my ride. Seems to be running fine. I didn't make any WOT runs or anything, just some trail riding and a few quick pulls across the field. Any idea how long it will take to get a good read on my pistons? Riding in about 12 degrees F. One of my plugs is older than the other as you can see in the pic. Not sure why I didn't put the other new one in....

Did you pull those in the middle of a plug check, or just when you got done riding? Did you also adjust your needles. In my opinion they still look a little lean the older the plug the easier they are to read. If you look at the old one it still looks like the heat is going to far down the ground strap, you want the heat to be just to the bend. Since you said you didn't do any wot pulls you need to raise your needles in my opinion.

You need to look at a minimum of 3 things when you pull them, heres an example:

1.) the curved ground strap, is it burned back past the curve or is it 2 distint colors getting darker as it gets closer to the edge of the threaded housing

2.) center electrode core, it needs to be silver just on the outside edge if you want just a bit of temp drop safety in it. If its silver all the way across your spot on for that temp.

3.) center ceramic core should be tan to a light tan, after a bit youll see a distinct smoke ring appear about half way down on it going to a lighter color further up in the plug-this means your in the sweet spot.

79, I have heard of guys burning down on hard pulls and they say they only switched plugs from BR9ecs to the BR9 es, I noticed in the pictures you are using the es. I believe there is a better burn pattern on the ecs.
 
Do you guys think 42.5 pilots are enough w/ a gutted airbox? Should I go bigger on them as well? I have v-force reeds, 155 mains and needles at 3.25.

Well, I rode 225 miles this weekend. Seemed to run good most of the time. Bug I did foul 2 plugs. Both times was at mid range throttle while following other sleds.
I did clean my magneto before I went out and that seemed to help with quick starting and better idle.
