Can't decide what to get

I'm in the market for a newer sled. I have a 95 Vmax 600 with x-tra 10 rear skid camoplast powder skis and 3" riser. Looking for something with better mileage and better ride. Any suggestions on what to get? Thanks Guys
P.S. Just got back from Munising, MI, and the trails were decent I know the forum was up there this weekend didn't run into anyone from there. Didn't run into much traffic at all. Had a blast will definitely return to the area again! :letitsnow
 
Don't know but I've been partial to long track two-up sleds. Thats what my Venture is and goes plenty fast enough for me. I certainly not moving to a newer one. I barely get out with this. NO SNOW (certainly not enough for riding on) and its raining now. I believe most of us are getting hit with this warm front with its rain.
 
You can try looking for a Sxr, Xt, or XTC(trailing arm models) as they have a taller rear suspension than a standard v-max and about 8-9" of travel out front. All 3 sleds mentioned are "kinda" set up suspension wise (maybe valving differences) the same, but you have a choice of which color suits your fancy. plus they are wider than the SX series of sled.
 
I will have a while to look since it doesn't look like any snow in the forecast. Would love to get a Nytro. Im just not sure about triples I always hear about people haveing that center piston burn up. Then again the Nytro is a 4 Stroke
 
The sleds I mentioned are Red heads and are Rock solid reliable. the sleds you are refering to are the power valve style motors in the viper, venture.
 
Yamaha triples are much different than the other guys. Fortunately they have competent engineers designing their motors. Nytros are 4 strokes and you will have no problems with that powerplant. A 2 stroke triple is also very, very reliable, especially the redheads.
 
you will always here about the bad, bcause no ones gonna post about there sled running great, because there out on it!
 
I know a guy with a red head 700 with over 25,000 miles on it, the piston and rings were changed at 20,000 miles just for the hell of it but this sled was taken very good care of from day 1
 
Thank You for the advice. If you know any one looking for a started sled Im willing to sell my 95 Vmax 600. Just over 5000 miles and running strong.
