I found cool a page while ago. I noticed a fairly significant torque curve and HP differences on the different 500s on this site. I am mainly looking at the rpm range for their peaks especially on the "98" xtc 500 which is higher than the rest. It looks like Yamaha tried to sacrofice a little HP to make the torque curve more managable to clutch for. I was not aware of any engine spec. differences through these years. Do you think there were really small changes made or are these just small variations from one engine to another?
