I have heard of a few guys using a PWC engine in a sled. I dont see much info on this topic. Yamaha has made a ton of PWC engines over the years, many of the recent models have big displacements (1200-1300cc!). On top of that they are easy to come by. A few drawbacks I see is that they are not powervalved, designed for a wet exhaust, and do not have a taper on the pto side of the crank.
I think it would be awesome to have a 1300cc triple in a sled for under $1000.
Or can any of these cylinder/pistons easily modified to go on any of the other engines to produce a cheap big bore? (500/600 twin or the 700 red triple).
I know there are already big bore kits for all of the above and HP cost money. The thought of a Ebay stroker or big bore motor seems fun to me.
Calling all HOTRODERS!!!!

if i remeber correctly srx1400 did this. i think they replaced the stub end on the crank to take a clutch.
