Last week had my 02 Viper out for first run of the season. Had been started and stopped a couple times for ride to get trail pass and then for buddy to get gas. When we were ready to hit trails then it wouldn't run, no electronics and wouldn't get any RPMs(sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders). Checked the plugs, had good spark and looked good. I mean it was first ride of the year after new plugs, carb cleaning, power valves were cleaned and set. Also replaced the stator, since last year the dash and lights would go out when you would grab some brake or hit the beams. After bypassing the TORS it ran fine all weekend. So where should to look to see why it did this? Temps were below zero so I don't know if this had anything to do with it.

Check the switch on carb and the throttle paddle on the handle bars. They both have switches also throttle cable tension can cause issues with TORS. Procedures for testing on your sled should be in your manual. Good luck!

Most common cause for TORS activation is the throttle cable to tight. Needs more slack then you think. Loosen it up and go from there.
