Team Parent Racing, it was great meeting you guys also, it is going to take some tinkering. You guys are dialed in to run that 114mph on that track.

Thank you, it's taken several years of tinkering and we aren't done yet. You are on the right track. Maybe we'll see you up in Hackensack sometime.
Thank you for serving! We all really appreciate it!

I run my 2000 SRX 700 in the stock triple class and a 2000 XCR 800 in stock triple 800 and a 1998 TCAT 1000 in the stock 1000 class. This last weekend at the Dennis Kirk Championship Speed Runs in Rush City, MN, I took third behind two other SRX 700s in stock triple 700. It all depends on how the classes in your area are set-up. I figured out the clutching on gearing on the 1000, but this is only my 3rd race on the SRX and is just so hard to figure out. With a speed track, ice picks, and gutted skid with graphite slides, I ran a 105 plus and they werent even clean runs. I lost to a 111 and 114 mph.
in speed run racing yes, they are differnt classes, but the original poster was talking about drag racing and the twins and triples run the same class. 700 stock, or improved. They just give the twins the weight break, thats what makes it impossible to overcome the f7's with the srx's power/heavy weight.
its been changed a few times over the years but its still too much to give to the twins, as they make the same and many times more hp. You can still hang good in 700 pro stock as the weight is alot lighter then stock is and you can run any pipes, carbs, engine mods, etc. sled and rider-625lbs, which is more like it.

Agreed pro stock is the class you really want to run if you are trying to compete at a high level. Only problem is it costs us a lot more than the cat camps to get to that weight. Best bet is to find a very light jockey.

Sorry for the novice question but what kind of track and pick combination do most guys
run for ice drags? I'm assuming you use the steel picks that are sharp like sheet rock
screws? What kind of lug height and how many picks for 140hp?
