98 crank recall..

I can find 00-01 SRX all day long in VT or NH for under $2k. I still like the black belly pans on the 98's the best. They should have stuck with that instead of blue. I wouldn't mess with a 98 unless you can prove the crank has been fixed.

$2000 for a 98, to much, even with the lower miles. Where in Wi. are you located? There are a bunch of 98's on craigslist for the right now around Milwaukee and Appleton. I wouldn't be afraid to buy another one if crank checked out good. They will last a long time if maintained. Check my sig.

I'm in greater Milwaukee and south central U.P. I've looked at a bunch and either their whooped or they want north of 2500 even though they can't find buyers at that number..some have been on CL since the leaves were on trees...I'd think prime time selling season has passed, throw in the second in a row dry winter and poor economy ontop of a product thats outdated, smelly and old spells for a narrow market yet a tough item to buy..go figure.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Some of those sleds have been on there awhile. I've been looking at dumping my wifes XC and getting her a matching sled to mine. You'd think if their on there more than a month, they would lower the price. Oh well, that's a good bargaining tool.

well no one won the auction, chump pulled it off before it ended..that's horseshit, should lose your e.bay membership for stunts like that.

Happens ALOT more than you would think. Most people have the balls/respect to state "for sale locally...reserve the right to end auction early" some where in their ad.

Happens all the time on ebay. They put it with no reserve then say it sold locally when the auction doesn't bring what they want. Then you see it on there again a week later with a reserve and a note saying the "local buyer" backed out.
