Good link snerkman.
It's my understanding that e-10 fuel does not have to be advertised at the pump. In other words - I'm not sure I'd trust any station just by what the sign out front says and would test it frequently.
I'm not implying that any or all station owners are crooks, but profit margins being already slim, the temptation to cut corners is always present.
It's easy enough to test with a glass bottle, some water and a sharpie.

i try not to use fuel with ethenol in it but when i do use it,i see no problems. like mr. viper said that redhead will drink it up. i would clean my carbs out at the end of the season though. (no matter what kind of gas you run)

Put a couple table spoons of water in the bottle and mark the level with a sharpie or other way of marking the level. Add the suspect fuel, shake and let it settle.
If the water level is below the previous mark you ain't dealing with straight gasoline or more likely you'll end up with three distinct layers, water, gasoline and ethanol.
It's a bit crude and won't give you a percentage. To determine the percentage a graduated beaker (two actually) and water is required.

Pump labeling laws vary by state. I'm pretty sure MI doesn't require labeling if it contains ethanol, but I think WI does. Could prolly google to find out.

I was refering to Michigan specifically but didn't make that clear. Agreed.
