Also, here are pics of the other two heads/pistons. These two pistons look like they are a different brand than the pto side one. What do you make of these pics?

Gap How long have you owned this sled? Did you clean the carbs this season? What Jetting is in it? Also you may have a PTO seal problem, this may be why that cylinder is lean... If you havent owned it that long the other owner patched it up and sent it down the road.
I dont know what brand the burned up piston is but its a cast piston, could be kimpex or whatever-junk. The other 2 look to be yamaha pistons, they will say 8dn on them on the bottom. The reason i say they "look" to be yamaha is I see the coating going back on the center to the back alot of the yamaha ones have that. it looks to be set up pretty rich judging by the piston tops of the other 2.
I guess I would pull all the bowls of the carbs and see what jets your dealing with, and pull the needles and seats see if theres gunk in the pto one blocking it up. Then if ok there...find out why the pto was so lean, could be carb settings, crasnk seal, airleak from carb boot, carb not in airbox all the way, etc.
obviously someone before you blew it up in that cylinder or it wouldnt have a oddball piston in it
, so theres a issue in there somewhere.

I bought the sled last year with 5,800km on it. It has 6,800km on it now. I agree that it apears it was patched up for a quick sale which kinda makes sense now. I bought the sled from a kid who was suppossedly selling it for his dad. The dad hurt his back and could no longer ride it. They had a whole fleet of similar vintage sleds in thier shop. The dad said this sled was his pride and joy and favorite of the bunch, it looked good and the price was fair so i bought it (hook, line, and sinker apparently). I have noticed that the same kid has had at least 6-8 sleds for sale since i bought mine. I'm thinking he prob buys wrecked sleds and patches them up for a quick sale.
Oh well, hindsight it 20-20 i guess. I like the sled and will fix it up and hopefully put a bunch more miles on it yet!
I have cleaned the carbs twice (last year when i bought it and at the begin of this season). I have always ran premium gas (no ethanol) as well). Not sure what jets are in it, will have to check. All three cylinders have always been on the rich side until now.
