I bought a 2002 viper with a 136 and stock gearing. Im looking for any help with trying to get the most aggressive, nastiest trail set up for the clutches. If anyone could shoot me some info that would be great, thanks!!!

"nastiest trail setup" is a bit unclear but I'd say heelclickers
Switch gears and go up to a 15w chain plus gear lots of improvements on te trails and ice ! 13w just isn't and wasn't doing it! U feel the difference everywhere trails corners and man those straight aways ! Make sure u got a good belt to match !

I put heel clickers on mine and a pioneer helix. Red HC spring, new stock black secondary, Crazy difference...
Stock gears to because it has reverse....

no, 15 wide chain doesnt make the sled better, its just heavier rotating mass is all, the hyvo rolls with less resistance then the 15 wide silent does.

get some 40-10 heel clickers and a dalton 48/34 or 48/36 helix. That will be one of the best investments you make for it, puts alot more power down to the track!

We have the same sled, 8 tooth drivers made a huge improvement. Stock gearing, stock clutching. Boondocking and deep snow, much more power to the ground. Al

ok so i did finally get the 136 installed with 21 tooth top gear, 1.25 rip no stud, partial clip, stock 9 tooth drvs, 8dn weights, new rollers and black spring (2 or three white paint marks..does appear to be taller than the stock black spring i pulled out. no work done to the secondary yet. first 400 miles this weekend and i must say i still was able to get 105 but it ripped much quicker. ... should i continue with work to the secondary.. the motor is stock.
and on the note about the reeds.. would it make that much of a difference for the money vs. secondary tuning??
the carlisile 805 is much better than the 8dn id been running all along.
additionally, if i go back to the 22 tooth top gear, will i be able to get more mph?
4-4200 is engagement and it turns 84-8500 wot about 105-109 mph.
or is this viper about all it will do safely?

i think some better skis would help (needed to use more preload in these conditions). all in all, the clutching and softer belt did make dramatic improvment. long live the viper
