I have a 78' yamaha exciter 440 that has weak spark, low light from the head light and barely anything from the tail light. I was thinking the stator lost a leg but then was thinking possibly voltage regulator. Thoughts? Unable to track down the year specific service manual, have an 80' version but the wiring is different. Previous owner has hacked the harness up a bit from what I can tell... IE orange wire should be going to coil, however, he has a gray one hooked in. Tried orange, have no spark condition. Any help would be appreciated.
