Yamaman, go to my "Viper Bog" post and check it out. Not sure if this is what's happening to you or not but I may have found my problem. Who know's maybe yours is the same. Worth a shot.

Well I finally got feed up and took it to my buddy that use to work for yamaha and race these machines to. He took it for a test spin and says it pulls really good on the bottom end and not bad at the top but he thinks it could be cause my srx has reverse on it and the gearing might be why it's like that. He is going to do a few more test. I'll keep you's posted when I know more.

Well I got the news on my sled back from my buddy he replaced the needles that run down the Center of the carbs and he also found a broken cable in my power valves. I guess I didn't tug enough on it. Now I'll have to wait till next winter to see how it works. I will up date you's then if its good. Thanks everyone for your input on this.

I would re do new bushings on both clutch's also, plus check roller bushings as well.Clutch could also be hanging. It is a good idea to do bushing every couple of years, the clutch's go thru hell and must be keep maintained..it is the heart of the system,it clutch's don't perform 100 percent, you won't get the full benifits.
