LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
I was thinking of it at first. It is a 97 700 motor,Just found out more about it,the guy who had it burned down one cylinder and piston.the motor apparently got really hot..so now discussing with my stepson(Bluemonster2) that the 2 good cylinders look good to the eye and no marks on them. The heads look good as well..but since it got real hot..how do we know if the cylinders or heads got warped from the heat.As well as the crank..did it get harmed from debris and the heat.Would hate to use parts and have a failure.I would have to take it all to Associated Crank here. The guys run busuiness out of their place..They are Yamaha guys also I hear.Don't know what it would cost to have them look at everything..will have to call them I guess.
If things don't turn out,I would have to start from scratch finding parts..kinda thinking it would be cheaper buying a complete running 700..but that will be difficult to find locally. To have one shipped from the US will cost way to much shipping wise..Got some thinking to do..
