73 Sl338

I'm restoring a 73 sl338. Finally got it running. It runs great till i shut it off and try to restart. I am having carb issues. I have rebuilt the Keihin carb several times to have the same thing happen. I hear everyone seems to have issues with these. I'm looking to swap out for a mikuni. Has anyone done this if so what did you do or does anyone have advise...Thanks!

I have aquired a few with tilliston and they work OK but you loose
the oil injection linkage...

Trouble starting hot/cold/both? How's compression? Did you replace the crank seals?
