Ways to make viper faster

Hey guys, i have an 03 viper that i want to make a little faster. What are a few things i can do? I baught the sled a few weeks ago, it came with a heel cliker set up and a mbrp silencer.
 
put the stock silencer back on it, then list what you have for the rest of the heel clicker set up and I will advise you on how to set it up. If the h/c's are set up correctly and the CORRECT helix is used, it will be quite quick for a trail sled.
 
Ok on the helix it says 46 36 on it and for the set up on the heel cliker i am not to sure how can i check and let you know sorry i am learning as i go. Also it engages around 4200 if that helps
 
Also it has the grey spring in the primary if i am correct i looked on line it looks like hey has it set up 3.3 grams in the sholder cener and tip how can i check that ?
 
youll have to look at the center of the weight and the tip and see if theres bolts in them and any washers added on. the helix you have will work good but youll need to install the red primary spring.

Be best to just take off the front clutch and take it apart and then we can go from there to get it set up right.

you have the sxr and the viper confused, you dont peel the head gasket on a viper, it will burn down in short order if you do.

It already has higher compression then srx does and WAy more ignition timing=HEAT=BURNDOWN!!!

completely differnt engines and the mods are completely differnt.
 
I have an 02 Viper and it is clutched, its plenty fast, but its a delayed torque compared to the 01 SRX I have. The top end on this Viper is very near the SRX now.

I had thought the quick torque on the SRX was mostly due to the triple pipes so guess my point is -and please correct me if I am wrong;

When you want more "speed" - if you want top end -then clutching - but if you want off line torque (general quick responsiveness to throttle really) wouldn't that be going to triple pipes on the Viper?
 
Thanks for the advice on the head gaskets i will leave them alone. Mr. Viper i am waiting for time to pull the clutch when i do i will let you know what is going on with them. I also have the red spring being shipped thanks.

the triple pipes actually make a narrower power band on the Viper. but it's a lot more power for sure. also a lot more gas to burn.
the srx is just a "torkier" (is that even a word) engine by nature. besides the triple pipes it also has more rotating mass in the crank, different port timing, different ignition timing, it all adds up to a different animal all together.
