Clutch fluke maybe!!

I see the problem now.. Well going to keep the Viper one on for now.
Head that way.. We met up with some guys in Morris that were going to head down the river. We caught up with them at St Agathe hotel a few hours later and they said that they got off the river because of all the slush.. Its under the snow because it has been warm then we got dumped on.. There is open water and ice breaks at one corner as well..

yet the River isn't deep this year, look at all the rocks exposed. Those rocks are sitting on the bottom..kinda weird for breaks this early yet..The ice is like 3 feet thick in places, ask the ice fishermen there. That is what they told me a while back.

I know.. But it is moving.. Just know what I see..lol.. Take a ride that way, you will see. Someone has put logs out so no one sleds into the ridges or water..

HEY CAM!!! found that friggin open water.WOW,she is running good.I see the log someone put in front, but that ain't gonna help. There was just enough width of snow for the track to cross over, with ski's almost falling into the gap.Had to pin it and lift ski's to get over it.This is 4 miles South of the Bridge.Lucky it is colder today..but I see all the slush marks you were leaving Saturday..it gets worse the further South you go.Look like someone went into the big opening with their sled..was it you..they just made it out..looks like is isn't deep, but who knows. That water is flowing at a good speed also..there has to be ice under that flow..I was going to try and whip around it on that rocky damn like build up..but was worried it would of open up and taken me down..so there is a track width of crossing to get by it..hardly anything for ski's to go on,so a little scary..but a good day to ride.

ventures are not clutched as agressively as vipers are. i know, we swaped out the stock stuff in my dad's 05 viper venture to the same heelclicker set-up my brother has in his 02 viper. beore when you hit the throttle on the venture, it would not pick up or hold the skis going over/down a snowbank. now that it has the viper clutching it will do that when that damn connected cone track hooks up.

Hey Maim, how long has the viper clutch been in the Venture you speak of..lol.. Any long term effects on rpm or secondary sheave? I kept the Venture secondary in and just changed the primary.. Like I said wow what a difference.. That sled pulls like never before. Kinda freaked me out when I took off and she lifted the skis right up..

Hey Doug.. Told ya there was open water and alot of slush!! You didnt beleive me..lol.. Yes it does get a whole lot worse the farther south you go.. I trenched through that friggen slush on Sat and got booters because there was so much water kicking up..lol..

heck, it has been clutched that way for at least 4 year.. we bought the sled new in 09 as a nc and rode it one season with the stock clutching. after we burnt 3-4 belts, we had enough of that and threw in a set of 40-10 heel clickers with the red spring and the helix off of my old 2005 war with a stock 02 viper secondary spring. you would have to pm kirkswim for exact # for weight added to it as he and turk made the set-up 8 years ago.

the venture i am talking about is the sled on the left in the picture.

Nice pic, I see the doo is pushed to the outside of the yammi's..lol.. I havnt got a real good run on the Venture with the Viper primary in her but did get about half hour on it after the switch and I have to say I am impressed the difference. I think I am going to leave it in and get another clutch as I stole the one out of my Viper to try. I have to say its a different animal now and I will go for a run with it this weekend and do adjustments accordingly.. I dont know much about clutching but I do know it made one heck of a difference.. Going to have to do some clutch reading..

yep going to be a super good riding weekend with the cold temps...sure beats the 2 March's from years past..no slush happening now with these temps..just pin it..
