I bought the OEM from dealer. OMG. it was 80$ !! for a friggin bolt basically. in fact I think if you look close there is a piece of their d$$k broke off in my a$$ ! nothing like bending the customer over.

I had heard for years not to use one but knew of many that did without any issues so I used one too...
...until I rattled the magnet off the flywheel of a customer's Doo.
I probly won't be so quick to put a impact in my clutch puller next time.
just do it like I used to with a hockey stick through the clutch and a rachet.
and I know for a fact that I can tighten a bolt way more with a rachet then with my makita impact.. I couldn't even take my ski bolt off with the impact today...
Had to use a rachet.

Happen recently?.......or have you ben walking funny for a while now? Some dealers mark up prices more than others. Even when getting parts/supplies from a dealer its worth checking differant dealers.

You're right they're. the impacts most guys own have less torque than you can do manually but they still rattle the shiznet out of everything. Guys serious about there tools though buy the ones with a high torque value.
Their you go John (Snomofo) I messed up all my there/their/they'res just for you. lol

Ingersoll Rand air impact.. It will take anything off, but I dont use it on my clutch. Just use a big 1/2 ratchet or breaking bar..

It really is amazing how well it works.
A guy with a 4' breaker bar can produce WAY more force than most impact guns. I'm surprised you had better luck with the impact.

Where the "impact" comes into play is exactly that...an impact! As well as rotating it delivers blows to fastner. Thats where the problem could arise. We would never smack the end of the crank with a hammer but thats essentially what an impact gun does...much like a hammer drill.

I know, it's the grease that helped
I can produce for force with a wrench the the impact I was using.
I will now be using a rachet to take my clutch off.
Although I never had a problem before using a impact.

LOL, you got the "You're" - write!
I'm righting these down for future reference:
"wicked pissah"
"shiznet"
I googled the above and got shiznit in return. It's either slang for "the bomb", aka very good and also a cross between a play toy and pillow.
