Found a 136 skid from Polaris Dragon.???

so if I buy that IQ 136" skid, willI mount the front arm in the same holes in front as the proaction stock skid and if so probably the rear hole will be in a different spot.
Also if I want to make it into a 144,I would have to drill news holes approx 3.5 inches back ,is that correct,,still concerned about rear hole mounting..

Na front holes wont work!!The front brackets have to be moved back. That skid is worth 4 hun all day long.If you dont buy it then there is no need to talk about it.imo

Hey Doug, That IQ skid is 2.5 pitch. Sorry didnt get back to sooner but just got home from work.. You have to moves the holes back as Bluewho said. If you dont want the skid I will take it..lol.. Let me know.. Viper needs a new long track..lol.. They are nice skids and 400 is worth it.. I can get the measurements off the dragon if you want. My ridding partner has that skid but in 121 and it is nice ridding.. Looked at the holes on my Viper and compared it quickly to his and the mount points are different..

if you can get some kind of measurements, that would be cool.I found some measurements on line and would like to compare them to see how close it is to your buds measurements.

found this so far..

Hey Doug, what skid did you end up using here? I saw in another post you longtracked your 600 to 144". I broke the A arm on my srx last year and just bought a skid from a 2005 rmk to put in it. Just wondering if you used that IQ skid and how it worked out.

no I kept my old skid and went to tracks USA for the extension's to a 144.Didn't want to play around with new mounting holes and trying to make another skid work, was way easier with the extensions and cheaper.

Ok, did you get to try it out before the snow disappeared? I did the exact same thing and was disappointed with the weight transfer after I put the extension on. Biggest reason why I'm going with the RMK skid this time instead of fixing the A-arm. And did you put the drop brackets on? That really helps for the boondocking.

yes I tried her out and it really pulled in the softer snow towards end of season. The front end was staying up a lot when I pinned it.Gonna have to figure a way to keep the front end down so I could steer.
Didn't want drop brackets as it will make the sled to tippy like..

Doesn't sound like you have transfer problems if you can't keep the nose down. But then again yours is an sxr, not my srx.
I don't find my sled tippy at all with the drop brackets in. And come to think of it, putting a set on might even help you out with keeping your nose down. Something to think about.

well I need to ride a little more before I really know how it handles.Could reduce the gap on my transfer rods, maybe a slight pulling up of the limiters..but don't want suspension to feel hard..just waiting on snow..it is a little North of me now..over a foot already I heard..... :o| :letitsnow :letitsnow :letitsnow
