I've been looking for a nice srx and was thinking either 2001 or 2002.
But there is a 2000 pretty much next door to me for a decent price.
Do you think I will be just as happy with a 2000 as I would be with a 01 or 02?

Only real differance between 00 and 01 is seprate adjusters for hand/thumb warmers and color of tunnel/arms. 02 is same as 01 with DCS. Out of the 4 srx's I currently have my 00 is hands down my favorite

Why is the 00 your favorite?
The jetting in the 00 and 02 are the same, the 01 is alittle richer.
Would it be a good idea to jet to 01 specs or just leAve it

Could be it was my first. Could be its the cleanest. Could be its the lowest mileage. I would have to check my notes but I think I put the fatter 01 pilots in the 00. Specs are just a starting point, tune as needed. The weird part is my 99 700 would be 2nd over the 01.Bought it already crashed. Fixed the functionall stuff and went the rat rod look. Geared down so its real snappy, great for ditch banging....well as good as it gets on a srx

I think you'd be just as happy with a 2000 as a 01 or 02, there really isn't too much different between the three. I just picked up a 2000 and I love it, I think the blue tunnel and trailing arms look better than the silver.

2000 ignition system is different then all other SRX's. Stator is the same but harness CDI and a few other items are different.
I personally like the 2000! Had excellent results with it. For me I think it's the blue belly pan and cowl that I like.

It has 9500km, blue windsheild, after market skis, 144 studs,
Reverse! And a nytro skid
He is asking 2500, which is a good deal for where I live especially with reverse

I just bought my 2000 last thursday. 5,300 miles on sled, 1,500 on crank up engine rebuild, brand new Apex dual runner ski's, all new bearings throughout the sled, 144 studds, overall decent shape, paid $1550. First night I got it home, left it sit in the front yard next to my porch, came out the next morning and someone had ripped off my whole parking brake assembly. who ever did that had some balls!!!

Me and my buddy went and looked that one!

it wasn't quite as nice as it looked in the pictures but it was better than any other ones I've looked at for that price.

Didn't get the sled.. The track was toast, there was JB weld on the rear cooler he painted the tunnel and the pair was blistering off and all three rollers were seized

I bought a 2000 SRX in 2008 for $2,200. 8,000 kms. That was a good deal for Toronto. New sliders, new bearings, new carbides, new studs, etc.
