changing gears?

I think I want to gear down a little on my ViperS. Was wondering what anybody thinks of going from stock 22/38 to 21/39? Anybody how much this changes the ratio? thanks

22/38 = 1.7272
21/39 = 1.8571

(1.8571-1.7272)/1.7272*100= 7.52%

not too sure of Vipers but check chain lengths in Tech pages..

thats a pretty drastic change,if all you do is corner to corner trail riding it would probably be a blast but on any kind of speed run its going to suffer on top end for sure.-Harvey

DIVIDE the large numer gear by the small number gear and that gives you the ratio.-Harvey
