How high of heat do you guys use when welding the w arm? Also the rib on the inside of the rail that the center shock mounts to is shered off, would tig welding a bead on there fix it and be strong enough?

every machine is different, and the same machine will run differently from one power source to another. And beyond that one person to the next will run different heat on the same machine on the same power source. And then there's the filler wire size, tungsten size and on and on. So basically you need to set it where your comfortable. but a wild shot in the dark without enough info would be between 55-65 amps

If your talking about the aluminum rib on the hyfax rail.......the hyfax is heat treated and welding on it is more than likely not going to hold for long. Unless proper preheating and post cooldown procedures are adheared to.roudyroy1 said:What do you guys do if the rib on the inside of the rail is sheered off?
