How high of heat do you guys use when welding the w arm? Also the rib on the inside of the rail that the center shock mounts to is shered off, would tig welding a bead on there fix it and be strong enough?

every machine is different, and the same machine will run differently from one power source to another. And beyond that one person to the next will run different heat on the same machine on the same power source. And then there's the filler wire size, tungsten size and on and on. So basically you need to set it where your comfortable. but a wild shot in the dark without enough info would be between 55-65 amps

I think the rail will have to be replaced they are easy to come by.

well im going to tig the rib on and over build the center shock mount. that should hold

isnt there an ear bracket that comes off that mount? my buds did the same thing we just bolted it back on an gusseid up the ear bracket, also added jb weld to it . havnt had a problem since... 5000 mi!

If your talking about the aluminum rib on the hyfax rail.......the hyfax is heat treated and welding on it is more than likely not going to hold for long. Unless proper preheating and post cooldown procedures are adheared to.

The one that the center shock mount strattles, its not completley sheered off just wore thin
