whats your 330 and 660ft mph? you want to see about a 13-15mph gain from the 660 to the 1320, otherwise you need to do some gearing changes.
i always use the differnt mph marks to tell whats going on in the clutchs and gearing. most people would learn so much about clutching by running asphalt if they used the time slip to show them a blueprint of whats happening in the clutching set ups. Your 60ft looks nice, best i did with stock skid was 1.41

ok, just looking to see what gain you got. when i get a chance, i will dig out my timeslips and see where i was at just to give you some comparison, yours might be better .
but it looks like you have a nice gain in mph from 660-1320 .

We got rained out today. Thanks for the update, Tony.
Don, if mph gain is greater than the 13-15, which way do you need to go on gearing? Taller or shorter?

would like don,s take on this, but a tell ya i believe the srx gearing 23/38 might actually be to long for the 1/4. sled never stops pulling, i might try 23/39 ?. 3:16 (YAMMIE TONY)

Now I have been thinking gearing taller and loading the motor harder. Maybe I am right, maybe I am wrong. Clutches stop shifting at 1:1, don't they?

UNLESS YOUR USEING OVER DRIVE, YES THEY ARE. NOW BY LOADING THE MOTOR, YOU WILL PULL RPM DOWN BUT IF YOU GO FASTER, THAT A SURE SIGN YOUR PRIMARY WANTS MORE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Do you have any videos of your sled on the track?

jay87lx: Here are links to 2 videos we had made by a professional photgrapher/videographer 1 1/2 years ago. We only had the one sled the, the 2000 SRX. My wifes is the driver. This year I also have a 2002 SRX and we are both running this year at New England Dragway and having a blast!

My 2 boys love the Bey Blades as well-lol
In a few of the vids there is another sled flying away from the SRX - what sled was that?

Yes, we still go when we can. We have 2 sleds now. We were supposed to go today but the rain canceled the day. We are probably going again Saturday May 25th. Easy to find us, the only 2 Yamaha's there.
That other sled is a AC Z1 Turbo modified. He actually won the points championship for the sled/bike class in 2011. Runs mid 9's.
Sorry to hijack the thread, Tony.

Once,I would pay admission I could just walk into the pits to where you would be? I haven't been to NED since I was 10 so I forgot how it is set up.scott riley said:Yes, we still go when we can. You will be amazed by how much has changed since then. All good! Yes, on a regular race day you will pay at the gate and then be able to go anywhere in the pits and grandstands. Usually sleds and bikes pit on the right as you drive in (this area used to be just woods back then). Like I said, just look for 2 SRX's and you found us. As the 25th gets closer, I'll try to let you know for sure if we will be going.
Sounds great, I really appreciate it!!!! I'll look forward to it!!!scott riley said:You will be amazed by how much has changed since then. All good!
