what do you guys do for work

Millwright 34 yrs. I've been employed by Chrysler the last 18. Spent the 1st 16 working nuke plants and other various factories.
 
I have been a Commercial Pilot for almost 40 years...started out as a bush pilot and have been 35 years at the Airline I fly for...this is NOT work to me...I love it!

The snowmobiles I ride are all 3 or 4 cylinders and the bikes I ride are 4 or 6 cylinders but the ship I presently fly is only a twin...with 110,000 HP per side!

Locator for U.S.I.C, Used to be called SM&P. Just checked my last pay stub....80hrs reg, 86 hrs overtime......UNCLE SAM IS A GREEDY BASTARD! Used to work out great for sledding as digging used to slow down in the winter. This past was a joke with every body wanting to put fiber optics in. The only weeks I worked less than 30hrs I sat around on call for emergencies. Had to get pissed and put in for 2 weeks vacation to RIDE RIDE and RIDE SOME MORE!
 
WOW 35 yrs as a commercial pilot....you must really love it!!!!

Must have pulled in some serious green too!

I was an engineer for a window company for 20 years, now I work as a recovery agent for repos and insurance claims for Crankyape.com... as well as own and run Totallyamahas network of coarse.
 
A lot of good response. I never said what i did. I work full time at sportsmans warehouse, a hunting and fishing type store and then one day a week for the dnr doing maintenance and equipment operating. Hoping to get on permanant with the dnr but our state is in a hiring freeze.
 
Grading and excavating, self employed. Started just after the economy took a dump...things are picking up finally!
 
State licensed water operator for the dept. of public works here in Grayling. Been at it for 16 years with the last three as a full time water operator. Its been a good job with steady hours and a nice variety of jobs to do.
 
25 years US Navy electrician,Retired, 6 years as a Hydro and wind generator operator, now control room superviser for same Hydro/wind company in North East located in north east. Great Job and good company. ;)!
 
Marine mechanical engineer. We have our own business. Not easy but still alot of fun. Now my Son is Certified and beginning to grow the business. Al
 
I like this thread. Almost finished my grade 11 and still unsure of what to do after school. Maybe something mechanical, something outdoors, good pay, something not to far from home (Newfoundland). I want to see how the Hibernia project is going and what is available on it.
 
project supervisor/prospector with a mining exploration company from ontario. Been fortunate to find a job I actually enjoy to go to every morning i'm working. Oh and I'm off all winter to go sledding ;)!
 
got a new job...just up my alley...easy drive to and from work(avoids all heavy traffic) Company is called Re-New Mobility. I am now the Mobility Equipment Technician.We service and sell Home health Care Products.I do the assembly,repairs,modifications to wheelchairs,walkers,Scooters,etc.I also pick up and deliver products to customers home and to Hospitals and all Nursing Homes.The Boss is letting me re organize the shop completely to my liking,so as I am very organized..this will be done right.Right now we can hardly walk in the repair shop due to all the products coming in and waiting for parts.Looks like I found something that will keep me happy for many years and the work is not hard at all.I also will be doing installs in homes,we want to get into the chair lift systems for stairs.I will have to take a course for that,but that could be big money for the Company with the population of baby boomers getting older..
It is nice to keep busy again and start saving $$ for the sledding season.

Congrats Doug. Now when are you going to drop a yami triple in one of those amigos?
 
I see I haven't done this yet. I am a respiratory therapist in a regional neonatal ICU. I help babies breath that are from less then a pound (about as big as a beer can) all the way to full sized term babies. Great job and I love it. Plus I work 12 hr shifts so its only 3 days a week every third weekend so I have lots of time for family, friends, and sled!
