2002 sx600r mods??????????

Hi all new here! Just picked up a 2002 sx600r what are the best mods to do to liven this sled up? I am going to do the can mod. Thinking about a little clutch tuning (minor) and extending it to a 136 with a cobra 1.352. What does everyone think? I bought the sled late last winter with 4800 miles on it for $800

Do I need to go to an 8 tooth driver to put the cobra track in or can I just take out the tunnel and heat exchanger protectors? I am not goin to stud it. The 8 tooth drivers would be like lowering my gears wouldn't it?
 
Thanks 99srxracer I'm hoping someone on here has done it! Will the can mod make a noticable difference in power or is it more in sound?
 
Thanks super1c! I like the fast responses on here! I don't know if it is just me been checking the tech sections haven't found much on lug height fitment for the sxr.
 
Jamie the 9ths work up to 1.5 in but do need take out the tunnel protectors. I told ya id help i set it up.

Thanks JD but I like the tracks usa kit they quoted me $530 for the whole kit with the cobra track.
 
Wont cost alot just some time and beers may need a different set of clutch weights il put up a post later of bluemonsters sxr 600 he was tuning
 
What do you think about gearing Joe? Will I be alright stock with a 136 under it?
 
Should be ok its 20/39 stock could put a 19 on top reed spacers and notched stop with a 2 layer head gasket should be a screamer with a good clutch set-up. Witch u dont have now.
