Help!!! Cog removal!

This setup is way different from what I'm used too... How in da Jesus do you remove the cog setup? Speedo bearing cap off, sprocket and chain off.. The speedo side there's 3 lock nuts then you should b able to push that plate onto the shaft correct?? It seems to be riveted on!? Wtf
 
So I figured the shaft goes out threw the chaincase side so I pulled the snap ring on the lower bearing but pushing that bearing out doesn't seem logical to me, 01 srx
 
Seems stupid, for the sake of 2 rivets that plate would just fall onto the cog shaft.. Some more input would be great, up to my ears in grease and oil lol
 
Is this for the viper? If so yes the chain case has to come off. First remove the speedo cover, then you can loosen the 2 set screws on the bearing. That bearing might be stuck a bit so small pry bar works good to get it moving off the shaft. It will slide off with any luck. Then remove the chain case cover, chain, gears ect...... once off then the chain case has to come off. Oh yea the break also. The jackshaft bearing also has to be taken off. I always found it easiest just to loosen the bearing retainers, two bolts and just move the whole thing. THen once thats all done just pull the chain case towards you enough to slide the drive out. Push it all the way to speedo side then slide out of chain case and out. Should be same for SRX also. There's yamaha drive shafts, and our "government"... Dont get me started. I like them both the same.

Texted my buddy •junior" from Ty. Had to haul off the inner case to get enough clearance to drop the shaft. Stupid set up if ya ask me, loosen the set screws on the speedo side and haul off the bearing. Putting it back on with a track full of studs...quite interesting. I like the brp setup with the retainer plate an how it just sits on the shaft. Although the bearing might be pressed on in the doo, I'd rather that setup much much more. First time doing it on the srx, hopefully the last... Or for a long long time lol.
 
Got everything back on, pipes airbox, cogs and track. I used royal purple gear oil I had left over from my oil change in my diffs from my truck figuring it's the same stuff. Tomorrow I shall give the tunnel, pipes and belt guard it's final coat of polish and shove in the rear susp. And seat. Then she will be ready for the snow. Also, I may pull out the primary spring for a less tired one and toss in a new helix and green spring. It's probably the closest I'm going to get to getting it to 'show rook cond'. I'm getting excited now.
