Phazer II track

Looking to purchase Phazer II and one in my sights has a 1.25 Ripsaw on it. Can this sled be studded w/out tunnel issues?
Sled looks in good shape and can get it for $750, advice appreciated!
 
Would need tunnel protectors or smaller drivers to be as safe as possible but it should be ok to stud. There should be just under a half inch of clearance in the tightest spot with a 1.25 ripsaw. Keep the track tight!
 
Ok, just need smallest amount of clearance w/48 studs.
However, just located a 94 Phazer for less that may fill the bill...better option?
 
I would probably take whichever is in better shape. Are you just looking for a rider? Definitely stick with the phazer II though. Easier to get suspension parts for if need be.
 
1 '' track with studs is the max with stock drivers ...........the tunnel is not the issue but the bulkhead will get tore up I know this from years of racing them a 1.080 stud is all they can handle
