THANKS. The jetting is different for every year SRX. As long as carbs weren't rejetted this will be easy to figure out.staggs65 said:you can find the stock jetting specs here http://www.totallyamaha.com/snowmobiles/AAATuning Chart/Specs.htm

I seen that on craigslist. The 600 chassis with the 03 engine is a dead give away. I recommend taking Staggs suggestions on getting those number of cases/cylinders so you KNOW what it is. Cant tell by jetting as carb rack can literally be changed in a few minutes. I believe 600s came with 31mm versus 700s came with 33mm carbs. Wiring harness/ electronics same 98/99 in 600 and 700, as Staggs said 600 cdi different, has an advanced timing curve. The 98/99 have a slightly lower peal RPM range as well.....cant think of it for sure at the moment...9350...maybe?

Pulled carbs of 700 tonight. Yamaha didnt make it any easier to pull the airboxes off than the vmax4, that's for sure. They even added a PV motor, air intake and overflow bottle to it. My skidoo airbox is held on by one rubberband ,lol. But my 700 is taking its place.

Does all three pilot jets 100% clogged, 1 float needle valve frozen solid, and some white and green stuff in various places make plugs foul?
Also, there are two plastic washers under the needle, my v4s only had one, is this normal? Clip is in third pos.
Cylinder 1 and 2 plugs were very wet and oily , cylinder 3 which had stuck float plug looked a little lean.

yes there should be 2 washers with each needle. you can run them both over, 1 over 1 under, or both under to fine tune between clip positions.
