warning light on 02 viper

My 02 viper does the same thing. All it is doing is making sure that light is working. Its like when you start up your car all the warning lights go through a test. Its when that light comes on while your riding that you need to worry. It comes on when your motor gets too hot. Then you need to get in some deep snow and get some snow on your coolent pipe on the rear of the sled. Since the viper does not come with a rear heat exchanger you have to be careful when riding when there is not alot of snow. That same light will come on and stay on when you are low on fuel. :yam:

Actually that's not your overtemp light it's just a orange warning light telling you to check your LCD display for any Icons IE: low gas, low oil, engine & overheat

When the light comes on check the display

Also in the owners manual there is a chart telling you what the different flashing codes are IE: Orange light flashes 3 times then pauses then repeats means your thumb warmer control knob is unplugged.

From the manual:

"After the engine is started, the tachometer makes one sweep, and the warning light and all segments of the meter turn on and off once, then the warning light turns on again, and then goes off if there are no problems."

Hope this helps...
