yes. I had to go and get even longer bolts with my vforce reeds and spacers. If you have the late style coil setup where it is mounted on the reeds and not the airbox, those bolts that capture the bracket need to be that much longer. I was only grabbing like the first 2 threads with the bolts in the vforce kit, I cut the threads right off the reed boss. Good thing the reed holes aren't blind and are around 13 mm deep, plenty of thread for long bolts to run all the way out the bottom of the holes.

Yes, if you want to the have the same length bolt/thread penetration as without them. The spacer kit I bought off ebay came with longer bolts. I should have it in my mailbox next week.

I'm sure any decent hardware store has ones that will work. They'll be metric, and get ones that are about as long as the old ones, with that extra length for the spacer and another gasket. I'll be looking at mine on my 600 twin as I think my red potbelly are worn out. At the end of last season, it got very doggy. Could be the reed valves, or the clutching. Heck it only has 8k on it. Lol
After this season, I think I will finally find a newer 4 stroke venture or fst touring as my 2upper. But I still want to get the old girl running as she should, or better.

3/8ths longer. Or how ever thick your spacers are.

Just received my spacer kit on the mail. It came with 3 aluminum spacers, all the longer bolts, and all 6 gaskets ( one for each side of each spacer ). That was $50 well spent!

Spacers under the rear motor mounts? I'm new to these sleds. What's the purpose of shimming up the rear of the motor?

I just measured them. It said 6.3 mm on the add that I bought them from. But I measured 6.5 mm. Plus, a gasket on each side of each spacer. Looking at over 8 mm once tightened.
