Not familiar with the particular gasket you speak of BUT typically aftermarket gaskets are usually thicker. Serve the purpose just fine BUT when your using thicker base/head gaskets your effectively lowering compression by raising jug/head.
 
I have never used a gasket set from royal on a sled, but have used them on my dirt bike. They do the job but all the gaskets on the transmission seep oil, not badly but dust sticks to all the joints after riding for about an hour.
