Are exhaust gaskets reusable?

Just wondering for my 2001 V-Max 600 Deluxe, if the exhaust gasket is reusable. I want to sandblast and repaint my manifold and the gasket is $28.

i didnt replace mine when it was off,i remember it being metal

I've always reused them. They are metal.

If its the metal one just clean it up and use a little copper spray, should be good to go.

Yeah the ex ones are re usable, just de carbon the surfaces.

I finally replaced mine at 13000 miles last fall it looked worn and was leaking all around. No leaks at all with a new gasket after last riding season, but they generally last a long time.

I broke down and replaced it; I'm pretty sure it was original and the mag side looked like it was leaking.
