Hey guys just wondering if its possible to put a 121 track on a 300 ET using rail extensions. It's for my brothers sled, he wants to take the ripped track off and just use his track from his srx. We will be making our own rail extensions, but just wondering if this is possible to do

A new enticer track is about $600...more than my new predator track! So we just plan on using his old track....
I may be wrong but look on ebay I think first gen phazers have same rail design. The et is a 116in track or 108? Ya will work drive pitch is same 2.52

His sled is definitely shorter than my 340, so it must be a 108

you will need different drivers as the pitch isnt the same from the 108 to the 121 or 116. getting harder to find those drivers.

What kind of drivers would I need?

you would need the 2.52 pitch drivers to fit your existing shaft. some of those back then were square shafts and on those shorter 108's the pitch was like 3.25 or 3.29.
easy to confirm, just peek up in the tunnel at the driveshaft and see of its square or hexagon and then take a tape measure to the track and measure either the distance between the drive windows or the internal drive lugs, then you know what your dealing with.

1st year (maybe two) ET 250 had a 2.52 track as did all long track versions of the ET's. The shafts are square. Drivers can be had to convert to 2.52 from Yamaha or after market but availablility from either may be a problem. The ET 300 skid won't work with any track still available (that I know of) that has 2.52 pitch. The original ET 300 track was used on all years of the 300, all years of the 250 (with exception of the 1st one or two) and all Inviters. The Inviter is the newest sled that used that track and may be the best route to finding a good used one. Bravo's, 340 ET's, Ovations' etc were all different.
I loved the 300 and to me the short track was a big part of how much fun it was to play on. 340 ET's had a little more power but were not as nimble with the longer track. Long track versions were mostly utility sleds.
I would try to get the right one unless you are in need of a sled more suited to utility work.
