So I picked up an 84 sr-540 today. I'm sure she had a book of problems. The biggest of all being my lack of spark. Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram or manual. Or a link to one? Any help would be amazing!!!
Thanks

Alright so I fixed my spark issue next problem is my lack of fuel. Does anyone know how to use the choke on the carb? She started first pull in my 60 degree garage. I let her sit outside for a few hours in -10 and she doesn't want to start at all.
Additionally, can anyone explain the fuel system to me? Does it draw fuel from the tank into the mixer then the fuel bowl via vacuum?

The choke works as an enrichener. When you flip the lever, it pulls the cable, which is attached to a piston in the carb. This opens up a fuel passage that allows more fuel into the carb bore. The fuel system works off the vacuum of the crankcase. The ''Mixer" as you call it is the fuel pump. Vacuum from the crankcase (via hose from crankcase to fuel pump)actuates a diaphram in the fuel pump, in turn drawing fuel from the tank and then outward to the carb.
What lever am I flipping? I feel like an idiot but I see nothing

First off, Welcome to TY!
The choke lever is on the dash panel by the ignition key(shown in picture below). Flip it up to start and back down once the machine starts to idle down. If it starts to die, flip the choke back up briefly and it should run from there. If you try to bring the idle up with the throttle, 9 times out of 10 if will shut the machine off. Your machine should start in 1-4 pulls on a cold motor unless it has been sitting for more than a week or so. Then it may take a few extra to bring it to life. Clean the carb! Its very easy and most likely needs to be done.
