Is got a dg pipe on it (junk I know) but don't have a stock one. 145 mains. And stock piliots. That's what dg said to run. Yes it does have boysen reeds in it. They maybe have 50 miles on um. Belt is the same about 50miles on it. Last 2 rides if the year last year is when I noticed the rev problem. Could barley get 50-55 mph out of it. Doesn't bother my son as he is 12 and doesn't really ride it like he stold it but I knew it wasn't right. But also knew we weren't gonna get to ride it anymore last year so put it away and didn't worry about it. So got it out today of course trails not open yet but like I posted earlier. With no load in it. It seamed fine. Hopefully will get to test it in next couple days and see if it still won't rev. Or get any mph out if it
ok I have a 91 le with a dg pipe too (I use the aaen or rpc's pipes on my races sleds) they are a good little pipe how ever I have 145 mains in mine with 105 pilots and stock tube and nozzle but stock reeds you could have clutching issues while I never had a set up sheet on my pipe I run mine at 7200 or so for rpm as that is where it seems the best at but that is my clutching boysens tend to make the bottom end richer so the 95's may still work ....
ok here is a tip on boysens ......not that they are bad reeds they do help ...but ethanol fuel and race fuel will kill them ......a bunch of years ago I had a new set I installed in one of my races phazers when I freshened the motor tested it that weekend and put it away pulled it out a few months later and had nothing but jetting issues that made no sense on this motor rich as a pig on the top so I was dropping the main to unsafe jetting and still was a little rich came back in the shop threw in another set and went out for a test run and the sled came to life and I just about blew the motor due to being so lean rejetted to my normal jetting and all was fine .....talked to a buddy later about it and said yep our crap fuel is to blame and race fuel will do the same I now run newer Yamaha oem fiber reeds with no problems and very good results
