Do you run on ice alot that you want studs?
A lot of local marginal snow and packed down icy backroads to include frozen rivers. One of the biggest benefits is the stopping power on these surfaces as well versus fish tailing. I really like the ice ripper idea but if they really don't grip anything like normal studs and if they are all single ply tracks, I have read about delamination issues not sure that would solve problem less expensively.
