What does the 1 inch mean?

Can you share the thread where this came from? I suspect the " that you are assuming translates as inch, which I am assuming is the other end of a quote, due to the other " on the left side of the I that starts the statement. I assume the 1 is reference to the location of adjuster. With thread we can look of rest of contex and verify
 
I think the adjustment is supposed to be 20-22mm at 1" you are 25.4mm which is leaner then the stock setting COPY AND PASTED. First link works but your second doesn't.

Refer to post #1 where original posted stated he set to 1". His reference of 1 inch was at one inch =25.4mm.....
