LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
well it was cold out but decided to take the SXR600 out for a ride today. There is all kinds of new snow to explore. That 144 Cobra sure did not disappoint me today..from busting drifts,to Hill climbing the high River banks to River running in a nice layer of new snow.BUt because sled was sitting for the last 3 weeks in this blistering cold..after 30 pulls she would not start..so plugs out gas poured in..first pull massive backfire thru the canister but exhaust pipe stayed on..lo..next pull half choke and she is running.I always have idle hang after into riding for a bit.I keep turning idle screw down..still idle hang 2000 to 2500.I could really cut the idle way down but when it comes to starting again one day ,the motor won't be running fast enough..so I accept it(been like this basically from day one)
Funny thing happened today about 3 times after a hard run and then stopping and trying to go again ..the tors kicks on..weird..Throttle cable has enough slack.I choke the idle down and then tors goes away and I am gone again.
Other then such small issue's that triple sounded super today in the cold..and responsive .Got her up to 140kph on the river which is not to bad considering I am long tracked now..seems like I really don't lose any speed from short to long track. If the river was more packed I would be running 145 to150 kph I know..I am slightly over reving I noticed ,close to 8800-8900..wot..but if I hit the pure untouched powder and pin it..rpm is about 8500 to 8600 and I am cruising at 120kph..
Not touching anything on it,,just riding it hard as usual.Have to say now this 600 is way more fun then riding my SRX..can do a lot more stuff with it and not get stuck..the SRX forget it..
