Hi guys I was out on my newly acquired SRX yesterday and finally had a chance to run it. The sled is in excellent shape with only 5700km but was setup totally wrong the power valves were out of adjustment and dirty, the fuel screws were all over the place, the bender secondary which runs at 30 degrees was at 120 etc etc. I have all of that straightened away now. When I got it I was told it had a Bender power shift clutch kit in it. When I ran it yesterday the sled is running up to 9000 and pulled fairly well but I know it can be a lot better if I got the rpm's down so I decided to dig a little deeper. It has a 2070 bender helix, yellow secondary spring wrapped at 30 degrees, yellow primary with blue stripe, stock rollers, and here is the odd thing 8dg-00 weights with what looks like a 3.6 gram inner but I am not sure what the outer is. Every way I calculate it, it does not seem to come out right. The weight is 34.26 according to the charts and according to my digital scale it is 42.19. Does bender use different rivits? Any way I was wondering what is the best weights and rivits to run with this setup, will I go back to stock weights and if so what rivits should I run thanks. I am running a 1" camoplast trail performance track without studs but may switch to a cobra track in the near future. I wanted to stay away from studs because I may run my snowmobile in the uphill drags in our area later in the year and they are not permitted. Thanks

I am also interested in any other clutch set ups that you may recommend. There is not a big lot of info here on the bender kit. I had a 01 bender piped mm700 with a 53/43 dalton and that pulled really well. Is the 47/43 loading the engine enough?

just add some weight in the tip to kill the rpm ....add a total of 4 gram u will be close to 8500 then fine tune..secondary should be twist at 70 or close too

I can try a little weight in the tips but the weights are not the stock 8dn-20 they are the 8 dg which I have not seen on here they are stock on a 600 venture I think so I am going to move back to the stock weights I think. The wrap angles are low on this spring from what I can find 30 degrees. I have a silver secondary that bender recommended running at 80 but I did not realize that it had the wrong weights into it until tonight.

look like u don't have the complete kit from bender ..someone throw some weird stuff with it ....I don't remember one running those weight with a bender kit

I guess 4.5 in eatch hole ......not really sure the pressure of that spring ...it should come close of 52 53 gram ...not sure how many spring bender made ..only seen the red primary one

I run a www primary with loaded 8dn-20's. 4.5 in both holes. Very happy with this setup. Green spring secondary @70 53/45 pioneer helix. Still fine tuning. Right now very close. Pulls hard.

load those 8dn-20 with 4.5 both hole with red bender spring or w-w-w or y-w-y and report your rpm
