1980 srv 540 clutch spring

I'm still looking for a replacement for this spring. This spring was used on a bunch of sleds. 78',79 exciter,80',81' SRV.80'81'as. Some enticers.....
Right now I'm using a spring for an 82' srv but its a much stiffer spring. Works good off idle and through the beginning of the shift but will run 1000rpm over at the end of the shift. A steeper finish angle on the helix would work but I don't have much info on these older sleds.

I run a Polaris 'red' spring in my '79 Exciter, you may have to experiment on how many degrees of twist and mounting hole position for the SRV....but Polaris red secondary springs will work just fine in the Yamaha's. They are stiffer than the stock Yamaha spring, but not by a lot.
