Well is wasnt going to start a build thread but since most of the parts came from people on this site i figured I'll post it up, if there's no interest so be it.

anyway the chassis started with was a 2000 Srx 700, the chassis is super clean, the only problem so far found was a outside stud went though the tunnel above the heat exchanger so I made up a patch quick and welded her in.

when I picked up the chassis it had a burned up number one cylinder and a broken rod, I found stock jetting in the carbs, a gutted air box, and a bender cold air kit.

Shortly after this I started riding my 09 nitro se and lost all interest in finishing the Srx, I used parts off of it to convert a grass sled to a trail sled and sell it in an effort to raise some funds.

i had mr viper build me a motor some time ago and am finally getting around to the actual build, yesterday I finished the welding work, stripped the engine bay and cleaned it up a bit more , took an entire inventory, and started ordering and posting in the wanted section for parts. All that's left right now is I'm looking for a track that's less than 1" in height stock pitch, preferably a fast track that I can run some studs in the middle I may keep them out of the outside of the track but we'll see as I start running the sled and see how it works I'm trying to make a great all around stock class sled to run some fun back yard races, and more low key events and maybe once in a while I'll pull her out when we ride far north on the flat stuff and rail some corners and show everyone how cool an old sled can be.
Here are some photos to see where I'm at;

I also bought a brand new NOS hood for this sled, does anyone know of anyone with a factory graphics set for the hood?

Nice job on the patch. good looking bead
Thank you, I'm actually a welder by trade and I just switched to an inverter , I'm really not happy with the way I've been running it but it's doing the job it's just a matter of time before I get used to all the additional settings and adjustments but I'll keep this about the sled lol

I also have a clutch ? I installed the clutches to start to align the motor and etc and I noticed 3 small washers with my secondary clutch bolts , where do these go? I tho I remember them being where they are pictured but I'm unsure?.

Also the primary clutch just has a single bolt no washer correct ?

Thanks in advance I'm so excited to hear the two stroke again !!!

There was a seller on Ebay that was selling decal kits for 1980 exciters, they said they could make any decals for any sleds, maybe look them up, or I'm sure most places that make decals could make them.

I've been looking no luck yet. I'm gonna search the exciter graphics now.

Primary should have a lock washer, not seeing the picture of the secondary to see the washers you're talking about but the first thing that comes to mind are the washers to adjust the belt deflection on the backside of the secondary.

edit, never mind there's your pic lol

Seller name is, yamatopdog, ebay item number is, 300584018441. I just got done fixing up my 2000, I got lucky and found a very nice used hood with good decals.

Can Anyone clarify the way these washers are supposed to be and what they are for ? I'd like to know how everything is supposed to be before I alight the motor and etc
