I swear this sled is the energizer bunny of sleds.
I rolled over 11,000 miles on it this weekend and its still going strong. I have done literally 0 mainance to it, just grease it in the spring and put it away till fall. In the fall I clean the carbs and run it.
Its been in the family since it was new so I have a list of whats been done to it along with the mileage, here is a brake down of it

Slides and carbides every season.
Idler wheel bearings at 5000 miles, Broke a slide rail so it was preventative maintenance.
Replaced original spark plugs at 5000 miles also.
installed new track and jack shaft bearing at 10000 miles.
put new shocks on the front at same time
Removed head to check cylinders just because i was curious so i replaced the head gaskets at that time 10100 miles.
Still has original clutch that has never been removed or cleaned. The exhaust donuts, drive chain, skis, rear shocks and pretty much every thing else is still good and original.
Sucks that its a corroded mess because it was not washed after being trailerd before i got it.

Our 97 600 venture has been good to us too, but not as good as your 99 600 has been. The original track was ripping lugs off at 5000 miles and was replaced with a used doo track, its gone through a few bearings, skid and we changed the driveshaft and jackshaft bearings at the same time as the track. I've only had to put one belt on it. The set screw fell out linking the 2 carbs a couple years ago, but it never left me stranded, and the oil pump was a or design, requiring an updated one since the original failed rich. And it needed primary clutch buttons this year at like 8300 miles, where it is at now.

It did need new reeds now, as the original ones were chipped and not worth putting back in. But, the important thing was that it has 129 psi in both cylinders at over 8k. Granted, when it was fairly new it got an update from yamaha due to ring locating pin issues, but that was still a long time ago.
