hey guys need some help again if i didnt have bad luck id have none!
my fiance's 98 vmax 500 xtc tonight out of no where was running on 1 cylinder! right away i changed the plugs and it still was only runnin on 1! but i saw sparks flying from the spark plug cap to the nut part of the spark plug! I pushed the cap back on the wire as hard as i could and it ran better but kinda sputtery not to smooth and by the time we got home it was acting up again! do i just need to change the caps? is it hard to do never done it b4 i want to make a permanent fix
 
Make sure you trim some wire back to insure your getting into fresh, undisturbed wire. A bit of vasoline on the end helps it twist on. The wires are more than likely too long anywho. My were trimed waaaay back. But left enough for engine flex.
 
awesome thanks for the help the one that was acting up was loose it wasnt screwed in tight and was leaving a rusty color gunk on top of the plugs and when i looked down the end of the wire it was rusty colored! I have about 3/4" that i can cut anymore than that and I think id be pushing it im pretty sure there stock caps and the sled has 8000 miles on it!
