I took the center bolt out to try and remove it but will not budge. Any ideas? I'm trying to see how the backside of it looks. (Overheating)

little bit of heat helped me, and tap around the out side of it lightly with a screwdriver and hammer to break the corrosion or locktite free. then work it lose.

hope someone did not epoxy it on.Mine just came off easy once bolt removed..don't heat it to hot and melt the impeller unless you are putting in a new one.

Could you possibly use the pull start for assistance.

This sounds possible but man is it stuck in there good. I started putting vice grips on the fins but worried of destroying em. But maybe has to be done.

There was a problem with some of these. If they are over heading when hot it could be the brass gear is slipping an not circulating the water if you shut down and start up again it is ok look at the brass gear.

Yea I'm thinking that's what my problem is but I need to get the stupid impeller off to see! Then ill either have to buy a new motor or

If it is slipping it will be on the crank ont on the impeller it is easy to check pull case apart get one of those rubber oil filter wrench heat of the gear on the crank an try to move it.
