Just finished installing a set of blown plastic skis on my fathers 1996 ET410II.These are the same skis that are new on the 2014VKPRO and the european/Russian VK540IV.They give a lot more floation,way more stable,and remove about 12lbs off the front nose compared to the OEM steel skis with skins.More pics and parts info to come....

Here is some more info.I noticed these skis last spring on the new VK540IV(not sold in north america).At the same time I also noticed the new VKPRO appears to have the same ski.Access to the VK540IV microfilm was impossible.So I took a chance(After a lot of research) and ordered these skis and sure enough they fit both the VKPRO and VK540IV.They can also fit any TSS (might not fit an ovation?),Trailing arm,or four-stroke yami.This is done with a few plastic plates that are screwed onto the skis.These are used to lay the rubber ski stopper(under the spindle) flat on the VKPRO(and any yami four-stroke).Removing these screws/plate reveals the mount for the stopper(metal plate found on the VK540III plastic ski)and TSS rubber block(stock on OEM steel skis).Along with a few spacers(OEM VK540III ones),collars,longer bolts(and a few 5/8 washers)I was able to mount these skis to the enticer.The wear bars are OEM ones from my 04warrior(Any Yamaha OEM plastic ski wearbar should fit,just needed extra washers to draw the wearbar in).I installed all this gear for roughly $330 Canadian through my local Yamaha dealer.

Hi, this list is complete or many others washers is required? I would put this on vt480. It seem the best cheaper config!
Good Job guy!
Very Nice!

I used a few flat washers(Big enough for the ski bolt to pass in/out) to make them fit tighter inside the ski.Hope you really enjoy the extra floation.
Wide skis for TSS sleds...
I also noticed these skis last season at the Yamaha dealer.
I think I will get two pairs of these skis.
* One pair for wife's ( 1993 ) Exciter-II ST
* One pair for my daughter's ( 1991 ) Venture-480 TF "Mountain Special"
Just finished installing a set of blown plastic skis on my fathers ( 1996 ) ET410-II.
These are the same skis that are new on the ( 2014 ) VK540-IV.
They give a lot more floation, way more stable, and remove about 12 lbs off the front nose compared to the OEM steel skis with skins.
I noticed these skis last spring on the ( 2014 ) VK540-IV.
Access to the VK540-IV microfilm was impossible.
So I took a chance ( After a lot of research ) and ordered these skis.
They probably fit any TSS equipped Yamaha sled.
This is done with a few plastic plates that are screwed onto the skis.
These are used to lay the rubber ski stopper ( under the spindle ) flat on the VKPRO.
Removing these screws/plate reveals the mount for the stopper ( metal plate found on the VK540-III plastic ski ) and TSS rubber block ( stock on OEM steel skis ).
Along with a few spacers ( OEM VK540-III ones ), collars, longer bolts ( and a few 5/8 washers ) I was able to mount these skis to the ( 1996 ) Enticer.
The wear bars are OEM ones from my ( 2004 ) Warrior ( Any Yamaha OEM plastic ski wearbar should fit, just needed extra washers to draw the wearbar in ).
I installed all this gear for roughly $ 330 Canadian through my local Yamaha dealer.
Heres a rundown off the part numbers one would need to install these on a TSS sled.......
* part # 8JE-F3711-00-00 , Ski assembly ( $ 250 cdn for a pair ).
* part # 8AC-23765-00-00 , Stopper 1 ( 2 of these if your sled has steel skis ).
* part # 90387-10029-00 , Collar ( 4 of these for inside the ski ).
* part # 8JH-23754-00-00 , Collar ( 4 of these that go inside the spindle bolt holes on ski sides ).
* part # 90105-10106-00 , Bolt,flange ( 2 of these extra-longbolts to mount the skis ).
The skis are 228 mm wide.
They really makes a difference.

Great! Thanks a lot. I would put on my Venture 480 TF like your daughter's sled. I'm happy to try.

I love it when we make our old sleds just as capable as new sleds.
