Viper cdi on srx??

Just curious if a viper cdi can be used on an 01 srx to run big rpm pipes. If possible is it trailable? I was told once that hauck sells the stock viper cdi as thier race boxes for srx and charges 500 dollars for it. Also wondering if the box with a 3 degree key is to much timing?

The viper box will add 8 degrees of timing and a different carb set up will be needed as the power curve is completely different I probally would not run it w a 3 degree key or trail ride

So can you get a box that does not add timing but enables you to run more than 8500 rpm

I could be wrong but I think the advanced timing is part of the recipe to run the higher RPM pipe effectively.

I am running a viper box 01 srx stock motor and jetting on 105 octane. Have been riding that way for 300+ miles.
