polaris 700 xcr ..no lights

Anyone have a clue to why my buddys xcr dosnt have lights, everything else works but no lights,
 
odds are it is a bad voltage regulator and it burnt all the bulbs. i would check the bulbs 1st. if they are all burnt, that is most likely the problem.
 
that's what I was thinking also, do you know if its on the back of the footwell or is it hidin somewhwere else?
 
never owned or worked on that model of sled, so I do not know where it would be located. on the 90 polaris star my dad had, it was bolted to the tunnel on the right side by the fuel pump.
 
Yep, voltage regulator, sometimes it's just a bad ground. It's on the inside of the right foot rest attached with a couple of bolts. I think mine on my xc needs to be cleaned up and remounted as it may have a little corrosion or just a bad ground. The Last 2 years, the headlight on my xc flickers until is been run about 20 minutes for the first time out on the year. Then it's fine until next winter.
