Does anyone have any personal experiance with putting these in a twin. Was wondering about a 96 XT and a 2001 SX600R.
The following is a c & p from BTV.
You can add the viper/srx reeds to the twin cylinder sleds without modifying anything, they drop right in and by themselves help to unblock the boost port even without the notch.

I'd ask Scott, but I believe he has much more pressing issues at of late.

I put these in my 98 600 twin xtc and they were perfect fit. I did the reed stopper notch also because the viper stoppers have a bit more meat on them and wasnt worried about them breaking. Not sure if it was a big improvement as i never rode sled before but it was sure snappy! And for a 600 hauled the mail after with a turk clutch set up. Sure as sh!t. Thanks for the heads-up. Whats the physical difference between the SRX/Viper cages and red head cages.
Srx reeds at little wider

Ok here's the update on the SX500R. Got the SRX/Viper reed blocks in there w/ a mild notching on the stoppers. It got rid of a very small amount of 0-1/4 throttle bog. But mid range and top end were fantastic. Noticeably better than before. Now what do I need to turn to eliminate that pesky bog off the line.I do have four of the .04 shims recommended in this post.....http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/...-mod-question-with-picture?highlight=.04+clip
Or do you think it's a fuel screw adjustment?
