Coolant!! Where are you going??

Every time I ride i need to fill up coolant after it cools down. Starts with level at cold fill line, then when I check the following day it's down to 1" or so above the bottom of the tank. It doesn't seem to be leaking anywhere. Plugs are not wet, and I pulled off the power valves and there is no signs of coolant. Where the heck is it going?

X2 - or look for steam-cleaned pistons/plugs with a bendy light.

Only two ways for it to leave the system - out the exhaust as steam or...

as a liquid leaking somewhere - and pressurizing the system helps make it leak.

How much coolant have you added vs. miles rode? Any service to the cooling system recently? (i.e. wasn't bled).

About 350ml drop (coke can) for 1000km.

I replaced the coolant and pressure tested the system at the beginning of the season, no leaks, and after 500 or so km no drop in coolant. Took sled in to change sliders (I was to busy at work to tackle it myself), they must have had the sled on its side and the coolant leaked out or something since I found a lot of coolant in the belly. I refilled it, and bled. Ever since then (about 1000 km) it has been dropping. Maybe I didn't bleed it enough?? I did not notice "steam cleaned pistons" they look normal, dry black carbon on top. I also checked the water pump and it is bone dry. Have I overlooked anything?
 
do you still have the stock rear coolant tube or have a heat exchanger from a srx on it?
 
after you ride it , if you pull the cap off the coolant bottle does it have pressure on it?
 
I had head gasket problems for years with the venom heads 2002 viper I finally zip tied a bottle to catch the overflow from the reservoir then I could tell if it started leaking, finally replaced the heads with a stock viper head and it solved the problem but I left the bottle, if there is any coolant in the bottle I know I have a blown head gasket.
 
No pressure in the bottle after running it. I may be wrong, but if there is pressure in the bottle the head gasket it leaking??
I have also noticed recently the smell of raw gas while riding. I researched it and I figured it was the air vent that popped off. Pulled off the air box today and everything is intact. But there is a lot of raw gas in the air box and the plugs were a bit wet. Compression hasn't changed in the 1500km since I bought it. I pulled off the power valves to confirm there is no coolant in there. Looks good.. Lots of carbon build up though. Damn yamalube. There was a fair amount of unburned oil/gas in there.
I am planning a good ride tomorrow..hopefully it is safe to ride.
 
it should build pressure in the cooling system after its run, if its not, you have a bad radiator cap and your antifreeze is going out the overflow hose...

I "routed" the overflow tube for today's ride outside of the engine bay. It does occasionally spit out during operation. This would explain where my coolant is going... How would I know if my head gasket is bad?
 
if you go out and ride the sled for 15-20 mins and come back and theres NO pressure under the cap.......( it should go "pssst", when you remove it slowly releasing the pressure).... then you need a new radiator cap its bad.

if it had a bad headgasket it would have pressure immediatly and make bubbles in the coolant bottle when idling.
